On opening morning of Spokane’s first junk show of the 2012 season, the sun was shining, vendors were ready, and customers and fans were lined up around the block! Once inside the customers were greeted by friendly vendors, great prices, and a multitude of items that have been created over winter.
As a vendor, I appreciate the hard work and endless hours of prep that goes into putting on a show. Hollie and Jennifer were at the show hours before the doors opened and hours after the last vendor left. They even had a vendor room with beverages, fruit, and snacks. (My favorite)
If you were not able to attend or if you did and want to reminisce, I hope you enjoy my photos and thoughts.
What a great feeling to see all of the customers and fans lining up! I was able to talk to some of the vendors at the Spokane Public Market, and they were totally amazed at the turn out. Way to go Funky Junk!
You can always count on Two Women to have a great booth! Diane and Fielding always have great items and can decorate with the best of them!
This was one of my favorite pieces from Denny Wuesthoff of A Brush Stroke Away! I like steel and rust so this was right up my alley.
Here is a great display in Iona’s Antiques Booth. Check out the chain driven tricycle!
The Artemis booth was absolutely awesome! The ladies loved the booth as it even had a changing room to try on the vintage clothes.
Kris Mack from Artemis won best booth at this years show. She won a JNR shirt, a hand painted plaque, and a $25 gift card to PINK Salvage Gallery!
Check out inside Coquille Vintage’s terrarium! Awesome spring flowers from Epiphany Floral made the Gnome home and terrarium come alive.
JUNEBUG had a great booth! Gladys and Celia always have a great theme and this year was no different!
Cary Burnett’s booth was inside an awesome tent! I love the glass jar light hanging from the tent and also the saw blade lamp. So cool!!
Hollie Eastman has something for everyone! Of course my daughter loved the owls, my wife wanted the old plow, and I wanted the old lanterns! Oh I would have been so broke if I bought everything we liked
Jennifer Wood’s soaps are completely awesome! I walked into the room many times just to get that smell
Words to live by!
I would love to share all of my photos and stories of the Spring Funky Junk Show but that would take hours! But if you missed it then that’s OK because there will be another show later this year! Be sure to follow the Funky Junk Blog to keep up to date!
